[Busan] [Phohemian] Hidden Vietnamese Comfort in Haeundae – Phohemian Near Dongbaek Station

반응형

We didn’t plan this one.
It was one of those warm spring evenings when you’re not sure if it’s still spring or already summer, and suddenly — you’re craving pho.
That’s how we ended up in a quiet residential alley in Haeundae, at a place called Phohemian.

Even the name felt intentional:
"Pho" + "Bohemian" — like a bowl of soup made for someone who likes their life a little offbeat.

🌿 Tucked Behind Ivy and Yellow Walls

The building was wrapped in ivy, with windows flickering softly behind the leaves.
A bright yellow wall, a hand-painted blue sign, and a little red metal table out front gave off strong Hội An energy.
Walking that short stone path through the mini garden felt like the start of a tiny vacation.

🪑 Cozy Hanoi Vibes Inside

Step inside and you’ll find rattan chairs, warm lighting, and little traditional Vietnamese touches everywhere.
It didn’t feel like a restaurant.
It felt like being invited into someone’s home — quiet, glowing, kind.

We were lucky to get a table without a wait. It was a weekday, but still packed.

🍜 What We Ordered

  • Phohemian Signature Pho (₩12,000)
  • Stir-fried Pork & Garlic Stem Rice Bowl (₩13,000)
  • Shrimp Cha Gio (Spring Roll) (₩6,000)

🥣 The Pho: Clean, Deep, and Addictive

The broth was clear but full-bodied — you could taste hours of simmering in each sip.
Sliced brisket, flank, herbs, and a wedge of lemon floated over bean sprouts and noodles.
The spices didn’t overpower — they supported.

If you like cilantro (I do), ask for extra. It lifts everything.

🍚 Garlic Stem Pork Bowl: Sweet, Savory, Underrated

This was the surprise hit.
The pork was minced and sautéed with garlic stems, corn, and bell pepper over rice, with a fresh salad on the side.

It had that low-key addictive flavor — not spicy, not bland — just something you keep going back to.
Comfort food in every sense.

🍤 Shrimp Spring Roll: Loud Crunch, Gentle Finish

The wrapper was almost shatteringly crisp, with juicy shrimp inside.
Dipped in fish sauce, it gave a perfect contrast — salt, tang, texture, all in one bite.

I’d come back for this alone.

😊 The Service: Effortless and Warm

One thing I can’t skip mentioning: the service.
Our server (a young guy) explained the menu patiently and followed through with care.
He wasn’t trying to impress — he was just genuinely good at his job.
And it made the whole meal feel better.

Phohemian doesn’t just serve pho.
It gives you a moment. A mood. A gentle pause in the day.

If you want a quiet meal, a beautiful bowl of broth, or just a pocket of peace — this is your spot.
